For 9-year-old Sheldon Cooper it isn’t easy growing up in East Texas. While the gifted and somewhat naive Sheldon deals with the world his family must find a way to deal with him. His father George is struggling to find his way as father to a boy he doesn’t understand. Sheldon’s mother Mary fiercely protects her son in a town where he just doesn’t fit in. Sheldon’s older brother Georgie does the best he can but it’s tough to be cool when you’re in the same class with your 9-year-old brother. Sheldon’s twin sister Missy sometimes resents all the attention Sheldon gets but she’s the one person who can reliably tell Sheldon the truth. Finally there’s Sheldon’s beloved Meemaw his salty hard-drinking Texas grandmother who’s supportive of her grandson. Big Bang Theory audiences have come to know the iconic eccentric and extraordinary Sheldon Cooper. This comedy gives us the chance to meet him in childhood as he embarks on his awkward journey toward the man he will become.

To appease his worried mother Sheldon employs the techniques of a self-help book to try and make a friend.

When George Sr. is rushed to the emergency room Meemaw comes to babysit; the kids have an adventure getting to the hospital on their own.

A worried Mary sends Sheldon to Sunday school after she finds him playing Dungeons & Dragons with Tam and Billy; but Sheldon is inspired to study a variety of religions.

Sheldon asks for a computer and unknowingly sparks a heated argument between his parents over the family finances prompting Mary and the twins to move in with Meemaw.

Sheldon gets into trouble with fellow child genius Paige at the Science Museum while George Sr. is forced to play therapist to Paige’s bickering parents Barry and Linda (guest stars JOSH COOKE and ANDREA ANDERS). Meanwhile Mary Georgie and Missy help Meemaw with a garage sale.

When Meemaw gives Sheldon his first video game it takes over their lives; Meanwhile George Sr. gets jealous when Georgie bonds with Herschel (recurring guest star BILLY GARDELL) at the auto shop.

Sheldon studies his family for a psychology project when their Thanksgiving dinner turns into a family fight after George Sr. is offered a job in Oklahoma.

Bazinga is born! When Sheldon learns that people with stunted childhoods can turn into social outcasts he tries to act like a kid. Also Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis’s relationship is tested when she teaches him how to drive.

While Missy unknowingly becomes Sheldon’s test subject Georgie joins Mary’s bible study to spend more time with his crush Veronica (guest star ISABEL MAY).

When Sheldon gets sick and has to spend a few days in the hospital he turns into the world’s worst patient and his behavior takes a toll on everyone. Also Missy gets a taste of what life would be like without her twin.

While Sheldon attempts to build a nuclear reactor to power the neighborhood Georgie is heartbroken when he learns that Veronica has a boyfriend. Also a university party gets heated when a colleague of Dr. Sturgis Dr. Linkletter (guest star ED BEGLEY JR.) flirts with Meemaw.

Sheldon uses his new friendship with the school bully to boss Georgie around. Also Missy steals Meemaw’s makeup for Picture Day.

Sheldon and Dr. Sturgis have their first fight when Dr. Sturgis marks a question wrong on Sheldon’s test. And Mary takes over for Pastor Jeff when he’s out sick.

Things spiral out of control when Sheldon boycotts his favorite bread company and ends up on the local news. Meanwhile Georgie offers Veronica a shoulder to cry on when she’s dumped by her boyfriend.

Inspired by his hero Albert Einstein Sheldon tries his hand at the violin. Also Mary and Meemaw secretly buy a pregnancy test when Mary thinks she’s pregnant.

Sheldon moves in with Dr. Sturgis for the weekend to see what his life would be like in college. Also a lonely Mary tries to bond with the other Coopers during Sheldon’s absence.

Unhappy that school funds are going towards football rather than academics Sheldon decides to run for class president.

Georgie is thrilled when Veronica stays at the Coopers’ for a few days. Meanwhile Meemaw and Dr. Sturgis celebrate their one year anniversary.

The Coopers help a broken-hearted Pastor Jeff (recurring guest star MATT HOBBY) through a rough patch in his marriage. Meanwhile Sheldon pressures church members for donations when Mary takes him to work for a day.

On the Season Two finale Sheldon invites the entire school to a party for the Nobel Prize announcements. Meanwhile Meemaw learns more about Dr. Sturgis' past and Georgie’s desire for cable TV leads to a standoff between him and his dad.

In the season three premiere Mary (Zoe Perry) worries about Sheldon's mental health after Dr. Sturgis experiences a nervous breakdown.

Without Dr. Sturgis’s university class Sheldon must find a new way to stay academically challenged. Also Mary helps Pastor Jeff (new series regular MATT HOBBY) avoid temptation with his girlfriend.

Sheldon takes matters into his own hands when Meemaw refuses to drive him to a lecture with Dr. Linkletter (guest star ED BEGLEY JR.). Also Georgie tries to impress Veronica (recurring guest star ISABEL MAY) with his new business venture.

Sheldon is forced to take a break from science when his obsession with The Lord of the Rings leads to an unhealthy habit; Meanwhile Missy asks her dad to teach her how to play catch.

After being released from the mental hospital Dr. Sturgis (recurring guest star WALLACE SHAWN) unexpectedly breaks up with Meemaw.

A church carnival leads Missy to try out for the baseball team. Meanwhile Meemaw struggles after her breakup with Dr. Sturgis. CRAIG T. NELSON guest stars.

Sheldon starts the first internet flame war and Missy stands up to the boys on her baseball team. Meanwhile Meemaw is unhappy when George spends time with her new boyfriend..

The University makes George a lucrative job offer in the hopes of recruiting Sheldon. Meanwhile Georgie gets a job working for Meemaw's new boyfriend and Mary is determined to rid her home of Greed.

Mary takes matters into her own hands and gets Pastor Jeff involved when Sheldon isn’t invited to Billy’s birthday party. George meanwhile has “male-bonding time” with Dr. Sturgis.

Sheldon fakes being sick to avoid a swim test at school. Meanwhile Dr. Sturgis spies on Meemaw’s new boyfriend.

George and Meemaw struggle to manage the Cooper household while Mary plans Pastor Jeff's wedding.

Sheldon learns to listen when an emotional Paige struggles with her parents' divorce by shoplifting. Then George Sr. is furious when George tries to buy his way out of chores.

Meemaw meets Dale’s ex-wife (played by special guest star Reba McEntire) while Sheldon is forced to work on a group project with reluctant college students.

Sheldon visits CalTech for the very first time. Also Georgie is furious when Mary listens in on a phone call with his girlfriend. And Meemaw tries to cheer up a jealous Missy.

Dr. Sturgis is furious when Sheldon accuses him of plagiarism. Also Mary sets out to find a “girl trophy” for Missy’s end-of-season baseball ceremony and Georgie has an awkward run-in with Veronica while on a date with his new girlfriend Jana (guest star AVA ALLAN). LOUIE ANDERSON guest stars as Ralph a trophy store employee.

When George Sr. accidentally lands the school librarian Ms. Hutchins (recurring guest star SARAH BAKER) in the hospital the Cooper family must nurse her back to health. Also Meemaw gives Georgie relationship advice.

When Sheldon learns the house next door is for sale he takes it upon himself to find the perfect neighbors; Missy is torn when she's forced to pitch against her boyfriend at the baseball game. JASON ALEXANDER returns.

Sheldon has a scientific breakthrough at the dentist’s office when he has to get a tooth pulled. Meanwhile Dale and Meemaw go to the casino and Georgie makes a big mistake when Dale leaves him in charge of the store.

In the season three finale Sheldon discovers that Mary's been keeping a secret about his future. Also Meemaw is furious when she learns that Dale fired Georgie.
