A school fundraiser is not Julia’s idea of fun but she finds herself heavily involved in order to impress a former colleague and new mum crush. Kevin has a battle with the cloakroom & despite Anne’s protests, Liz takes care of the bar.

A pool party ruins Julia's plans before an important event at work. While Liz is at the newsagents the nice looking guy in the queue leaves his wallet behind. She takes it and hopes to return it and hopefully turn it into a date. A new Dad on the scene, who goes way back with Amanda, puts Kevin's nose out of joint.

Paul's has the perfect solution to help Julia out while he's away: he sends his parents over. Luckily, Kevin has a huge fondness for the elderly and assists Julia with her in-law wrangling. Meanwhile, Amanda is having a clear-out and reluctantly gives Liz her old coat, which seems to have a strange effect on Liz.

Anne's new car propels her into the limelight as the mums try to get in on her carpool, and Kevin finds himself in the role of confidant to Amanda. Liz and Julia's friendship is under fire as Liz realises she is just a `mum' friend.
