Mad Men, The Complete Series

Set in 1960 New York City in an unexpected new world - the high-powered and glamorous "Golden Age" of advertising – where everyone is selling something and nothing is ever what you expect it to be. The drama unfolds around Don Draper the biggest ad man in the business. As he makes the plays in the boardroom and the bedroom he struggles to stay a step ahead of the rapidly changing times and the young executives nipping at his heels.

Don continues to conceal his increasingly complicated personal life even in the face of Roger's (John Slattery) invitation to open up. Meanwhile Peggy pines for the absent Pete - still on his honeymoon - while fending off the advances of several of the men of Sterling Cooper.

Pete returns from his honeymoon excited about his new marriage but conflicted about his past encounter with Peggy. After his business relationship with Rachel takes an unforeseen turn Don attends a party which further illuminates his increasing dissatisfaction with his present life.

Pete's professional and personal lives become more complicated as he struggles to assert power in both. While facing pressure from his wife regarding a new apartment he further alienates Don and endangers his own position at Sterling Cooper.

After Don wins an award his photo is featured in Advertising Age. Don must deal with the fallout as the photo brings back a past he isn't ready to confront. Ken gets a short story published in The Atlantic Monthly inciting jealousy among his colleagues and driving Pete to make an unorthodox request of his wife. Peggy overhears a startling conversation in the office and shares the secret with Joan.

A taboo office romance is revealed. At a brainstorming session Peggy proves to be more than a secretary opening up new opportunities for her at Sterling Cooper. Meanwhile Rachel faces her conflicted feelings for Don after he seeks out her advice on a new campaign.

Roger joins Don for an evening of dinner and drinking during which Roger's behaviour leads to a rift in their friendship. Though Don accepts his apology there are further consequences for Roger. Pete faces trouble at home as he continues to struggle with the demands of his new marriage.

Don is tormented as pieces of his secretive past begin to haunt him. Peggy's new success at work and resulting boost in confidence threaten her office relationship. Salvatore (Bryan Batt) gets a little too close with a client.

A rival ad agency courts Don involving Betty in their attempt to lure him from Sterling Cooper. As the presidential campaign heats up the agency looks for new ways to counter the latest Kennedy ads. Tempers flare over Peggy.

Don loses an account. Roger stuck in the city for Labour Day weekend attempts to cheer him up. Meanwhile Joan has a night out on the town with her roommate.

Peggy is given a difficult assignment. Roger's work problems provide new opportunities for Don and Pete grows more frustrated. Betty finds a new outlet for her growing dissatisfaction.

On election night the Sterling Cooper staff pulls a rowdy all-nighter while watching the returns. Pete's ambitions cause him to directly challenge Don.

As Thanksgiving approaches Don's work responsibilities interfere with his domestic life. Peggy is given a new opportunity provoking the ire of some of her colleagues. Betty makes a startling discovery.

It's Valentine's Day and the Sterling Cooper advertising agency is hustling to stay on top of its game and buzzing over the newest office equipment.

Paul hosts a party at his apartment and introduces someone special to his colleagues. Peggy visits her family for dinner. Despite a conflict of interest the Sterling Cooper agency pursues an airline account.

Trouble arises on the set of a commercial. Harry tries to gather support around a controversial sponsorship. Betty joins Don when he attempts to appease his clients with a friendly dinner.

Don and Betty enjoy a family weekend together. Sterling Cooper staffers work double time to prepare for a last minute pitch meeting.

Don once again finds himself having to deal with issues between TV comedian Jimmy and his wife Bobbie. Joan finally finds Don the perfect secretary.

Don and Duck take a stab at making peace. Peggy tries to insinuate herself into the execs' after-hours meetings. Duck deals with a family visit at the office.

Don debates buying a new car. Cooper has a new piece of art in his office that attracts the interest of the workers at Sterling Cooper. Don's new secretary finds her way.

Father Gill convinces Peggy to contribute on a pro-bono church project. To win the business of a foreign beer brand Duck and Don try to create market appeal to a new demographic. Harry is overwhelmed with the workload in his department and recruits assistance from an unlikely source.

Freddy Rumsen disappoints his team during a pitch. Pete finds an opportunity at the office to exploit while Don proves his loyalty to an old friend. Betty finds a welcome distraction in Sara Beth.

Betty visits her ailing father. Paul's girlfriend Sheila tries to convince him to prioritize his civic duties. Pete's mother disapproves of an idea that Pete and Trudy are considering.

On a business trip to Los Angeles Don becomes acquainted with some exciting new friends. Peggy looks for romance at work. Duck starts thinking about the future of Sterling Cooper.

Don meets with an old friend. An account hangs in the balance when Pete's personal life presents problems. Joan brings her boyfriend to the office.

Sterling Cooper nabs the Jai Alai account. Tapped to direct the Patio commercial a nervous Sal re-enacts the scene for his wife Kitty. Peggy searches for a new roommate. Gene collapses at the supermarket.

Struggling with Gene's death Sally gets into a fight at school and the Drapers are called in by Miss Farrell to discuss her behavior. Duck Phillips courts Pete and Peggy for Grey Advertising. Betty gives birth to baby Gene.

Puttnam Powell & Lowe arrives to announce the new hierarchy only to have their plans scotched. Joan celebrates her last day at the office. Conrad Hilton formally introduces himself to Don; Betty tries to broker peace between Sally and baby Gene.

Betty gets promoted in the Junior League just in time for the reservoir project (and Henry Francis). To secure the Hilton account Don signs a three-year contract. Two hitchikers assault Don.

Henry helps Betty get the reservoir project tabled by the town board. Betty joins Don in Rome where she shows off her Italian.

Don begins a relationship with Suzanne Farrell; Betty strikes up a correspondence with Henry Francis. Because he's unwilling to reciprocate Lee Garner Jr.'s advances Sal gets fired after the agency determines the Lucky Strike account is too big to lose.

Don meets Miss Farrell's younger brother. The agency celebrates its 40th anniversary. Paul decides Peggy is his competition while Betty finds Don's keys and discovers the contents of his private drawer.

An old-flame of Roger looks to rekindle their romance. Don's plan to spend time with Suzanne is interrupted when Betty returns early from her trip and demands he explain the contents of the box.

The assassination of John F. Kennedy and the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald rocks the office and the nation. Betty sees Henry again at Margaret Sterling's wedding then meets up with him later.

Aware that PPL plans to sell Sterling Cooper to McCann Don Roger Bert and Lane put their differences aside to band together and form their own agency. Betty pursues a divorce.
