Aspiring comedian Pete finds himself at a crossroads after an emotional crisis. And attempts to find solace in the New York comedy scene.

Pete is put on the spot when tasked with keeping Artie clean and sober during a road show. Later, Pete concocts a plan to keep an ardent fan at bay.

Pete and T.J Miller head upstate to Jess' yard sale, where Pete teams up with an unexpected ally to get back a prized possession.

Pete spends the night barking on the streets of New York where he finds himself encountering varied characters and engaging in a turf war with a rival barker.

When Pete's parents decide to come to New York for his mother's birthday, Pete begs Jess to keep up the charade of their marriage.

Pete is invited to stay with Sarah Silverman and her collection of stray comedians. Pete gets a gig as a warm up comic and ends up saving the day.
