Surreal black farce set in Dublin. Hubert Flynn, returning home after a night's drinking, turns into a white rat. The transformation doesn't so much amaze as inconvenience his family, wife Conchita, daughter Marietta who's too embarrassed to bring her boyfriend home and son Pious, whose ambition to be a priest may be thwarted. However, when Hubert bites Conchita, even her patience runs out.
