The first original animated feature film from the duo of director Hiroyuki Imaishi and screenwriter Kazuki Nakashima, creators of the enduringly popular classics "Gurren Lagann" and "KILL la KILL." A stellar crew has been assembled, including Shigeto Koyama, who instantly rose to fame after designing the robot Baymax for Disney's "Big Hero 6," and Hiroyuki Sawano, who is highly regarded for his dramatic soundtrack compositions for works such as the "Attack on Titan" animated TV series. Brought to the screen by internationally revered animation studio TRIGGER, it will be both an authentic and entertaining entry in the battle action genre, and a non-adapted, completely original film like nothing seen before. It has been thirty years since half the world was obliterated by the fire-controlling "Burnish' race. Galo (voice: Matsuyama Kenichi), is a member of Burning Rescue who faces off against Lio (voice: Saotome Taichi), the leader of an aggressive group of Burnish known as Mad Burnish.
