Eastbound & Down, The Complete Series

Series premiere. Burned out and broke, former big-league pitcher Kenny Powers returns home to North Carolina to teach PE at the local middle school he once attended. Wreaking havoc at school, around town and at the home of his brother Dustin, Kenny settles into his role as the town's loose-cannon agitator, setting his sights on winning back his high-school flame April, now a teacher engaged to the school principal, Terrence Cutler.

To avoid selling his beloved jet ski, Kenny looks to score some extra cash by pitching himself as spokesman for a local luxury-car dealership. The gig threatens to turn into a fiasco when Ashley Schaeffer, the dealership owner, insists that Kenny pitch a fastball to a fan. Later Kenny and his driver, Clegg, make a memorable cameo appearance at the middle-school dance, where Kenny attempts to reconnect with April, again.

Kenny enlists the fawning Stevie to be his personal assistant, ordering him to scope out a high-school pitching phenom viewed as Kenny's big-league competition. Meanwhile, Dustin's wife Cassie offers to sell Kenny's baseball memorabilia on eBay, while Kenny gets serious about getting in shape by any means possible.

Kenny looks to rekindle an old flame at a barbecue hosted by April and Cutler; Stevie cuts a greatest hits DVD for his favorite ballplayer in hopes of getting Kenny a big-league tryout.

Convinced he's lost his stuff, Kenny decides to give up his comeback dreams and move on as a working stiff--but his resolve is tested by arrogant car dealer Ashley Schaeffer and his new pet celebrity, a major-league arch-nemesis named Reg Mackworthy.

In the Season One finale, Kenny says goodbye to his life as a schoolteacher--and bids farewell to Dustin and his family--after he's tendered a big-league job offer in Tampa.

Season Two Premiere. After settling a score with the baseball exec who screwed him out of a big-league comeback, Kenny Powers heads to Mexico to lick his wounds and start a new, more anonymous life. Living in a dingy apartment in Jalisco under an alias--Stevie Janowski, the fawning NC music teacher whose credit card he's been using--Kenny's nascent career in cockfighting ends when his 'Big Red' bird goes down, and his two local sidekicks, Aaron and Hector, take off with his assets. Befriended by a neighboring Mexican family and a sultry bar singer named Vida, Kenny emerges from 'the darkest hole I've ever been in' by announcing he'll make a baseball comeback with a hapless local team, the Chaross. But do the Chaross and their manager, Roger Hernandez, have room on the roster for a self-centered, out-of-shape flame thrower?

Charros owner Sebastian Cisneros agrees to throw out all the stops in promoting Kenny Powers' return to organized baseball, but Kenny loses motivation after learning a secret about April from an old friend.

Puzzled by the Mexican fans' lukewarm reception, Kenny starts a grassroots PR campaign to burnish his image. But it takes a vintage Powers flare-up to bring the fans to their feet. Kenny makes inroads with Vida by inviting her to Sebastian's yacht party.

Though Charros fans respond to Kenny, he is warned by Roger about the perils of showboating. Kenny finds he has serious competition in his courtship of Vida. Stevie finds short-lived romance.

Kenny considers a new full-time life working in Mexico.

Kenny settles his debt with Sebastian; later, he settles a score with Aaron and Hector, and bids adios to Vida. Kenny passes a final test with the Charros team.

In the Season Two finale, Kenny confronts his future.

Season Three Premiere. Enjoying a new lease on his baseball career as the closer for the minor-league Myrtle Beach Mermen, Kenny Powers settles into a life of body boarding, jet-skiing, and hard-partying with his catcher Shane (Jason Sudeikis). A detour to Shelby to attend the one-year birthday of his son Toby reunites Kenny with April.

With baby Toby in tow, a seething Kenny heads north in search of April. Getting no assistance from Dustin, Maria or Jamie, Kenny tracks down his erstwhile lackey Stevie, currently employed at Ashley Schaeffer's (Will Ferrell) car dealership. Kenny crashes a perverse plantation fete the dealer is throwing in an effort to liberate Stevie.

Pro scout Roy McDaniel (Matthew McConaughey) arrives in Myrtle Beach to ask Kenny to mentor Ivan Dochenko, a promising young Russian pitching prospect. Stevie lays down the ground rules for his return to Kenny's team, while grappling with Shane and Kenny's relationship.

Convinced his son is cursed, Kenny blames Toby for his recent travails. Later, Kenny tries to connect with Shane's straight-laced family during a difficult time. Stevie is overcome by guilt.

Kenny is surprised by some unannounced visitors. Desperate to win back control of his team, Kenny decides to stage a 4th of July party to end all 4th of July parties. Meanwhile, a guilt-ridden Stevie struggles with confessing to Maria.

Kenny and Eduardo reach into their shared past in an effort to find permanent child care for baby Toby. Stevie continues to lament his loss; Kenny embraces a new pitch while facing up to his responsibilities as a man and a father.

Kenny tries to win over Coach Banks and get back in the rotation but many obstacles threaten to detour his pursuit of redemption. Stevie attempts to win back Maria.

Season Three Finale. As Kenny adjusts to the new realities of his life, a twist of fate alters his future with the Mermen.

(Season Four Premiere) Bored with his dead-end job and suburban lifestyle, Kenny Powers--now married to April and a father of two--ponders a career move after partying with Guy Young, a onetime teammate and current host of a raucous TV talk show.

Looking to reclaim the spoils of celebrity, Kenny pays a visit to Guy Young to discuss a career change. Kenny tries to convince Stevie to rejoin the Powers team.

Kenny treats his family and friends to an overnight trip to the local waterpark. A day of good clean fun gives way to an evening of debauchery.

Kenny follows through on a threat to Gene. Stevie gets Kenny a charity to promote during Guy's goodwill dragon boat race. Taking the lead from his dad, Toby tries to find the courage to feed his new pet.

With Kenny getting more and more attention on 'Sports Sesh,' Guy asks him to dial it down a notch. April gets Kenny to agree to undergo couples therapy. Kenny and Stevie map out a new business venture designed to capitalize on Kenny's soaring stock.

Kenny gets rattled when Guy introduces a wild card to the show. Stevie recruits Maria to help promote Kenny's side business. April reaches the end of her rope with Famous Kenny.

Kenny finds his personal travails taking a toll at work. Stevie keeps up appearances in the face of adversity. Dustin and Cassie help Kenny learn a valuable Christmas lesson.

Season Four Finale. Kenny returns a favor, at his boss's insistence. Stevie offers revisions to Kenny's life story. April weighs a big decision.
