When yet another anniversary passes without a marriage proposal from her boyfriend Jeremy, Anna Brady plans to travel to Dublin, Ireland to propose on February 29, leap day, because, according to Irish tradition, a man who receives a marriage proposal on a leap day must accept it. Fate has other plans, however, and Anna winds up on the other side of the Emerald Isle with handsome Declan -- an Irishman who may just lead Anna down the road to true love.
