A New York heiress, Florence is used to having her way. That includes performing to an audience of wealthy socialites who would desperately rather be somewhere else. But with an encouraging husband and a new teacher, Florence aims for even greater heights. Streep, Hugh Grant and Simon Helberg display perfect comic timing in Frears’ hilarious and ultimately moving portrait of someone who lived passionately for their art.
