The film tells the story of young Antoine’s trip to the European Parliament in Strasbourg. A recent graduate from the school of political science, he is looking for work. He could easily see himself as a parliamentary assistant; he could also see himself getting back together with his former lover Cléo, who has been working for some time in the Parliament’s audiovisual department. Cléo however doesn’t have fond memories of him, and the deputies are preoccupied by the raging war in Kosovo and by the European elections to come and have no time to find themselves a new assistant. During this week of parliamentary sessions, the young man discovers the theatres of democracy, and of love. He measures the anxieties of commitment, be it political or amorous.
