Just another twist on Shakespeares classic Romeo and Juliet, only this time with Vampires and humans instead of witches/humans, gnomes, humans only... it's a story that's been told many times many ways but still good. I was a tad disappointed in the casting as some of the acting lacks a bit and a few characters were not quite fitting of the novels descriptions. Loved the novels! This movie was a pretty close adaptation as far as book to movie conversions go. Still the series left a tad to desire

I read and watched the books and movies ( that were out) while lying in bed
recuperating from a botched back surgery. They took me out of my depressing
daily life and gave me joy, tears, laughter, all of it. Truly made me want
to get out of bed and head to Forks. And a year later, I DID IT, SANS
WHEELCHAIR!!😂

I hate romance novels and movies with all the fairytale Bullshit, but this movie kept me intrigued and anxious to see how the relationship between Bella and Edward would progress. Read the books! They are even better! Almost embarrassed to admit that a movie full of teenagers actually has me wanting more. A nice break from all of the crime drama and espionage I am usually reading.
