Young Karibuchi Hikari lacks her famous sister's magical abilities, but when she gets the chance to go to Europe and fight alongside her sister, she gladly volunteers.

Takami and Hikari depart for Europe, but when a large enemy assault threatens their ship, Takami must defend it on her own as Hikari watches helplessly.

Hikari takes her sister's place among the 502nd Joint Fighter Wing; the trainer doubts she has the magical power needed to be of any use, but Hikari has an ace up her sleeve.

The battle against the Neuroi is a difficult one, and the 502nd is worried that Hikaru doesn't have what it takes, so they give her a challenge.
