Watching this movie reminded me of playing a horror game like Simulacra. The sound editing makes a lot of the voices seem dubbed, the background music is very generic, the acting seems pretty stilted, more like voice actors in a game. I like some things; the stark and simple settings emphasize either Julie's loneliness, or the import of the interaction on screen. There was a book titled "Everybody Dies" lying around in her apartment, which I got a kick out of. I could relate to Julie's awkwardness and insecurity, especially with her handsome neighbor and at work. So, it wasn't the best movie I've ever seen, but it was an ok way to spend an hour or so! Some movies are novels, this was more like a vignette.
