A woman and her husband aren't entirely sure how to bring new life to the outdated childhood home that she inherited from her mother. Russell and his team work around their tight budget to modernize the property while preserving her mom's memory.

After 13 years of not being able to agree on what work to do to their home, a husband and wife get approved for a bank loan and ask Russell to help them make some important design decisions. But when their budget is cut in half, sacrifices need to be made. Will Russell make their design dreams a renovation reality, or will the last-minute budget decrease make it impossible to satisfy them both?

General contractor Russell Holmes heads to Denton, Texas to help Marianne and Nathan Reed turn their outdated 70s house into a stylish home. Facing a tight budget of $40,000 and a couple who disagree on several aspects of the renovation. Russell, with help from interior designer Paige Poupart, come up with a design plan that will transform their kitchen, front room and living room that hopefully fits both their budget and conflicting tastes.
