About this movie

When bizarre radiation storms suddenly erupt, defense systems are wiped out, polar outposts are incinerated, and space debris blasts holes clear through our planet. Now a tough federal agent, a cool government scientist, and his brilliant, rebellious son have uncovered a magnetospheric nightmare that could stop the Earth's rotation. Do a disgraced inventor and an archaic satellite hold the sole keys to our survival, or is the clock ticking towards the annihilation of mankind?

Nice made for TV movie special effects but the story line had me predicting nearly every event in the movie, especially toward the end. Looked like they even held up the ending with a fight scene just to make the movie last to it's designated finishing time. Some of the younger actors need more acting lessons. Save your money.

This is a disappointing movie on a number of levels. The acting was forced, there was no character development and the science behind the story was completely implausible. Sci-Fi is supposed to draw you into a world that although unreal, has some basis for your imagination to empathise with. This one is so completely unbelievable in its presentation that it simply becomes an irritating experience.

Acting was plausible, involved, conspiracy and government cover-ups, main character's did a good job. Add this to your rental list, but I probably only watch it 2 - 3 times myself. :)
