Prior to watching this, my exposure to Gwar was limited to old Beavis & Butthead episodes, and Oderus showing up in Adam Green’s Holliston. So, it wouldn’t be fair to say that I was or wasn’t a fan of their music. I can tell you what I am a fan of, though. I’m a fan of the people involved in the band - from the musicians all the way down to the lowest person on the totem pole. Anyone who puts all of their time, and the proverbial blood, sweat, and tears into a labor of love like Gwar has my full respect
This was an awesome documentary. It was nice to see the whole story put together. Also it's hilarious to see cishet men do literally anything but go to therapy or talk to each other about traumatic stuff.
wow, ive never been a fan of gwar but this is a very insightful and moving documentary that paints the whole thing in a new ligh for me. It just goes to show how important context is for art.
Great documentary!
Great documentary. Crazy amount of footage. Didn't know GWAR that much, but now I really want to see one of their show!
