Fun movie featuring a group that doesn’t get a lot of representation, especially in sci-fi/horror. Effects were halfway decent for the budget. Acting was split - Kids did a LOT better than the adults (who were incredibly stiff and emotionless for the most part). Don’t regret the watch though. Good to put on during an afternoon.
They managed to do a lot with very little budget wise. The kids gave believable performances and the tone was what it should have been.
This would be a cute little movie for kids, reminds me of movies such as The Goonies.
decent but not crazy
I tried to like this but it’s so slow. The cultural themes are nice, but after the initial scene it’s half an hour-ish in before anything mildly interesting happens. Otherwise it’s basically teens complaining about their lives. And they do that part well, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t watch horror movies for the personal narratives.
