About this movie

It seemed to be a carnival funhouse just like any other: mysterious, eerie, scary, but all in good fun. Yet it wasn't just any funhouse. In this one, there was murder. And the horror became real. The story concerns four teenagers who visit a local carnival for a night of innocent amusement. They soon discover, however, that there is nothing innocent or amusing there at all. Instead, they find absolute terror when the four are trapped inside the maze of the funhouse. One by one, each victim is taken by a monster who tauntingly stalks them.

As far as horror movies go I thought this was good. Effectively directed and paced by Tobe Hooper it builds real suspense with all the scares being truly earned. Also there is a sense of tragedy not unlike the Hunchback of Notre Dame or Phantom of the Opera. I did feel some pity for the person who never got a chance at life.

Good old 80's horror, I own it. As you know with 80's horror you have it give it some leeway for cheesiness due to it being the 80's. (Which was the best decade in my life) anyway, rent it when it's raining outside and pop some corn and do an 80s horror night.

One of my favorites. Seen a million times but never gets old. Love some of the campiness and 80s at its best.
