About this movie

Due to a freak electrical storm, the USS Nimitz, the world's largest nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, is transported back to December 6, 1941, in time to head off the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. As the fateful hour grows near, the ship's commanders must wrestle with the moral and ethical dilemmas of interfering with the progress of history.

This movie is way underrated...The premise is great and it was put together very well. I only wish it could've been expanded to see what would've happened if this ship with its attack force DID actually prevent the attack on Pearl Harbor. Now that would've made a helluva sequel if the Nimitz never made it back, stopped the attack, and the United States military leapfrogged that many years in technical knowledge due to an aircraft carrier appearing 40 years from the future.

This is the Greatest Navy 80's movie to watch the USS Nimitz CVN 68 Aircraft Carrier going threw time from 80 to 1941. With the great Jolly Rogers F-14 Tomcats against the japs in a great Big Dogfight in the sky. This movie is in my heart and Navy Nimitz 68 alsome.
