About this movie

This holiday season, experience the inspiring story of a family that is torn apart by ICE, but never broken. From rising BIPOC director, Anike Tourse, comes a powerful and moving film about the immigrant experience in America. When ICE raids their home on Thanksgiving Day, the Diaz family is ripped apart. Mother Marisol is arrested and detained, father Jorge is forced to seek refuge in a synagogue, and eldest son Koke is deported. Middle son Emiliano, an attorney, launches a crusade in the courts to reunite the family, while youngest daughter Valentina sparks a social media campaign that shares their story with the world. As each family member braves their way through the crisis, they discover unexpected reserves of love and faith, and fight for reunification by leaning on the resolve of resilience. Join this extraordinary journey as the Diaz family discovers communities on both sides of the border that stand by their side and champion their story along the way.

Heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time! You can't help but feel love for this family that is trying their best. Something that many of us can agree on is that family is important. So as you watch the movie, you're immersed like you're part of the Diaz family. What would you do to help? What would you do to keep your family together? America's Family shows that there is no one perfect way to fight, as long as you know that you are fighting for love ones to stay together.
