FLCL: Grunge

The animation isn't as bombastic as the orginal and the story is too simply for an ova style anime, if the story and characters had more than 6 episodes it could have been decent. But not the best if it wasn't as cilche was it wouldn't be good. Every character is flat with one goal each but no actual character. The animation is only well done in the opening but only then. The setting is also dumb and so are all the side charcters. If i could give it no stars i would. .7/10

Lacks the things core to the original that made it special. Aside from great music from The Pillows, FLCL A&P are soulless nostalgia bait. If you like the original even slightly don't waste your time or money on this. I'd call the new seasons cash grabs but even that gives it too much credit.

This anime is great, I was super excited when i heard about season two, but this season wasn't quiet what i expected. Its still had some of the main components that original had, but its missing the Fooly Cooly spark that it once had. Overall its still a pretty solid show, so I would still recommend it to anyone who is looking for a short anime or is a fan of the series.
