Jaden gets a cold reception from freshman hot shot Chazz and is challenged to a duel with high stakes.

In an attempt to get Jaden kicked out, Crowler accidentally gives a fake note from Alexis to Syrus instead.

Crowler sets Jaden up to be embarrassed on exam day at Duel Academy. Upon stealing a new shipment of rare cards, he gives them to Chazz so he can beat Jaden.

When Jaden and his friends visit an abandoned dorm, they come across a duellist who claims that he's taken Alexis to the Shadow Realm.

Jaden continues to duel the mysterious Shadow Duellist, before realising that this match isn't as it seems.
