S1 E9: When Nancy Dillon discovers her daughter, Sam, has been kidnapped, she takes matters into her own hands bringing as much of the ransom demand as possible to the kidnappers in hopes of her daughter’s safe return. But things don’t go as planned. Sam’s abductor takes off with the cash and keeps the girl. Frank’s team immediately gets to work. Kick and Bishop follow a couple of leads that seem to be dead ends. A chat with Sam’s best friend, Emily, reveals an online history with a man named Grant Holland. The team investigate him and discover he helps reunite Native American children with their biological parents - revealing Sam is adopted. Presuming that Sam may be yearning to find her birth father, the team embarks on a harrowing journey to uncover the truth about a man whom Sam believes is her dad. Just when Kick and Bishop think they’ve hit a road block, pieces of the puzzle start to fall in place, but it may be too little too late.
