Making Waves

A Hallmark Channel original movie. Music executive Amelia needs to sign an elusive indie band called Figure Eights to the record label she works for in order to get promoted. As luck would have it, the band is rumored to be performing at an upcoming summer music festival on the Outer Banks, where Amelia spent many summers working at a local B&B with her friend Samantha. Upon arriving, the pressure increases when Amelia learns that a competing label is also there to sign Figure Eights. On top of that, she realizes that the elusive artist she’s there to sign is fronted by her childhood summer sweetheart, Will. But before she can make her move, the competition swoops in on him in hot pursuit, offering him a deal that would be hard to refuse. Over the course of the week, as Amelia reassures her boss that she’s got this, she also realizes there might be a conflict of interest… her feelings for Will. But Will is somewhat stubborn and despite being a gifted musician, tends to shy away from the limelight, so she must work hard to convince him that her company is the better choice for his musical vision. She must also prove to him that her interest in him isn’t only in his talents, but also because she never stopped loving him.
