When a young couple drive through Texas on their way from California to Florida, they are given wrong directions in a small town and become lost far from town in the dark of the night. Now a chain saw wielding, murderous cannibal who wears the skin of his victims over his face is pursuing them and the few people the couple meet help the serial murderer rather than his hapless prey.
