Wing Commander: The Movie

I enjoy this film, with caveats. It re-imagines most of the story in curious ways. I'd enjoy seeing more, but only with a new cast and better writing. This movie has all the makings of something good checked off without actually checking to make sure they mesh well. It could've been a blockbuster if more time was spent on the script and some of the casting was rethought. As it is, I enjoy it more as fuel for my imagination and escapist media than as a war story or anything like that.

With only a couple things better left out, this is still a fairly good space combat movie. Campy, but fun still. Yes, it's not exactly like this favorite or that, so the heck what? I liked it and it was so cool when they gave the enemy ship a broadside of torpedos. If you don't like it, I'm sorry for you because you're wrong. :P

** had potential lacks continuity in story line. + Watch closely in a battle scene Kilrathi's head/mask comes up & u almost see the actor. To think someone checked this b4 it was released in theaters!
