I don't think this film has aged well, the 'bumbling' of the protagonists isn't charming, it's irritating and the level of camp in the acting should have cemented this as a B-movie at best. The sets are well made and at points the suspense is well built but these alone can't save what is otherwise a poor pace.

Very atmospheric, almost christmasy feel horror movie starring Polanski's wife who was sadly infamously killed not long after this by Charles Manson's clan in the 60s. Highly enjoyable yarn. Recommended

A perfect blend of dark horror and light-hearted comedy. Some amazing set pieces and a soundtrack that will haunt you forever. Vampire fiction at its best.
