Karmegham

The movie opens with a flashback starting with the release of the hero Mammootty from prison. Mammootty plays the role of 'Karmegam', a military officer. During a vacation visit to his native place he helps the villagers by solving their problems. The villagers complain about the oppressions of Radha Ravi who plays Mammootty's father. Radha Ravi being a ruthless village landlord cheats the people. Wanting to put an end to his Dad's deeds, Mammootty helps the poor. After a turn of events MammoottyÕs sister and Manorama (MammoottyÕs mother) get killed. Abirami, a doctor joins hands with Mammootty in his cause to fight for the villagers against Radha Ravi. What made Mammootty go to prison forms the culmination of the story.
