Power Book IV: Force

Following CBI's shootout with the Flynns; Tommy has his heart set on finding Liliana's killer within the Flynn organization. Tommy makes solo moves to avenge his dead friend in the shadows; but Diamond pulls his focus to developing an edge over their new competition: Jenard's faction; the Treasons. All the while; Tommy hasn't forgotten his ultimate goal of taking over Chicago's entire drug network. He insists on meeting CBI's drug supplier; Miguel Garcia; leader of the Insane Princes with a direct line to the Estrada Cartel. Tommy is already on rocky footing with Miguel when he meets the drug lord's sister; Mireya; and discovers a mutual attraction that both are determined to resist. Meanwhile; Jenard is hustling to get ahead of CBI in the streets. When he oversteps; Tommy reacts with a decision that sets off a chain reaction of violence for the rest of the season.

Jenard struggles to keep his crew afloat as he's caught between his debts to Miguel and Mirković; and his troubles are made worse in comparison to CBI's booming business. Tommy and Diamond already need to re-up again; but Diamond is hindered by his suspicious new parole officer. Tommy takes the meeting solo; and earns favor with Miguel by defending him in a drive-by attack from the Serbs. Knowing that the Serbs and the Insane Princes are Chicago's two main connects to the cartel; Tommy and Diamond devise a plan to fan the flames of their rivalry so that CBI can usurp their positions and take over Chicago. Meanwhile; the Feds pursue a task force with Tommy at the center of the investigation; Jenard gets help from Shanti "Showstopper"; Walter plays Claudia and Vic against each other; and Jenard's crew seeks revenge on Tommy - with unintended consequences.

Tensions rise between CBI and Treasons following the botched hit on Tommy; who threatens Jenard to get control of his crew. As violence ratchets in the streets; the Feds are granted a task force to take down CBI; leading DiFranco to race to save a witness from Jenard's wrath. Violent threats from adversaries motivate Tommy and Diamond to unload their stolen product as fast as they can; leading them to expand CBI's business into Diamond's former prison with help from Kendra. Meanwhile; Diamond develops an unexpected bond with teenage activist Leon; Tommy grapples with forgiving his mother; and Vic plays a vengeful game of sabotage with his struggling father. But Walter blames all his troubles on Claudia; and his punishment leaves her more desperate than ever. Tommy finally faces off with Walter and gets one step closer to avenging Liliana's death.

CBI's successful expansion puts Tommy and Diamond's heads on a swivel. Jenard clashes with his crew, leading him down an even darker path. Claudia gets back in the drug business by teaming up with her former enemy, the Serbs. And D-Mac tries to obey Tommy by setting his sights away from CBI, but he ends up entangled deeper in the drug game than he ever intended.

Heightened police presence threatens Tommy and Diamond's bottom line and they form a coalition with a rival gang. Tommy vows to keep D-Mac in line, but when D-Mac continues to defy him, Tommy must resort to drastic measures. Jenard hits rock bottom. Miguel proves how dangerously protective he can be of Mireya. Claudia and Vic's sibling bond is tested.

Tommy and Diamond see an opportunity to expand CBI. Diamond and Shanti join forces to get Jenard back in CBI, but only one of them has good intentions. Another opportunity arises for Claudia when an old flame re-enters her life. Diamond grows closer with Leon and his mother Gianna, and takes drastic measures to protect them. Mireya defies Miguel, but still tries to distance herself from Tommy to keep him safe. Mirković warns Tommy against encroaching on Serb territory, and makes good on his threat with catastrophic results.

Tommy leverages the Serbs' hit to his advantage, all the while moving behind Miguel's back as he expands CBI's territory. Claudia and Shanti run a booming pill business out of a westside club, while Jenard disregards Shanti's long game with Tommy and gets more than he bargained for. Diamond is tempted by a legit life from his parole officer. Tommy calls on Vic for help in recruiting a Latino gang to their coalition. Stacy believes the meeting will bring her task force closer to taking Tommy down. When Tommy begins to suspect that treachery is afoot, he puts Vic's loyalty to the ultimate test.

Tommy is kicked into high gear when Stacy begins closing ranks. Vic scrambles to avoid the consequences of his actions on all sides. Gianna gives Diamond an ultimatum if he wants to stay in Leon's life. Tommy makes moves to connect CBI directly with the Cartel. Mireya and Tommy's relationship is tested when he crosses a boundary. Claudia tells Shanti that she's in business with the Serbs, motivating Shanti to make a bold play. Tommy learns of an urgent problem within CBI. Diamond experiences a devastating blow, forcing him to make a decision that has dire consequences.

Tommy and Diamond suspect they have a snitch in CBI and put their inner circle to the test. Miguel shifts his bloodthirsty focus to the Serbs. Mireya gives Tommy a key piece of information. Stacy gives Vic a dangerous mission as the task force closes in further on Tommy and CBI. Shanti continues to play both sides, leading Tommy to suspect her intentions in his pursuit of the traitor in CBI's midst.
