About this movie

From the producers of The Purge and Insidious, comes this terrifying supernatural thriller starring Kevin Bacon (TV’s The Following) and Radha Mitchell (Silent Hill). When their young son (David Mazouz, TV’s Gotham) brings home five mystical stones he found on their family’s camping trip to the Grand Canyon, Peter (Bacon) and Bronny (Mitchell) begin to notice strange things happening in their house. Having awakened dark forces bound to the rocks, the family fights for survival as malicious demons feed off their fears and threaten to destroy them. Terrible! I generously give it 2 stars just because it's Kevin Bacon. Worst part is: I paid 15 dollars to own a crap movie I'll never watch again. The characters are very interesting, and the children each have particular vulnerabilities. It would've been cool to see the family communicate, or talk to each other, or to just simply have some dialog in between endless boring scenes of the haunting. You never see a family working to solve a problem, like you see in "Poltergeist,' for example. A waste of a good premise because there's plenty uncharted stories to explore with Hopi/Anasazi-style "shadow demon" hauntings.

I thought it quite good...a little clichéd and a standard formula but the suspense was really good and the good acting kept it there throughout so overall good effort and I have always liked bacons acting..also the slow acceptance of the supernatural quite believable..the Autistic kid I thought was a little hit or miss.. he did not get good direction on acting autism
