About this movie

On what seemed like any other day, Elder Travis Tuttle (Corbin Allred) and Andrew Propst (Maclain Nelson) are approached by Nikolai (Nikita Bogolyubov) to teach a friend. But then the missionaries experience the unimaginable - they are kidnapped, beaten, and held for ransom. While their families, friends, and the world pray for their safe release, Tuttle and Propst are tested physically, emotionally, and most of all - spiritually.

The story is great, and actually quite reality-based. Many will have a hard time believing that young LDS missionaries act this way. Well, many do. But the story is really about the struggle that these missionaries have wanting to believe that their faith will protect them, and whether they should take action into their own hands. Gritty filmwork. I enjoyed it.

with Jesus's choice for his fathers will to be done, these two missionaries carried out with this emotional ride. Even after the choice to return home, they carried out further with their duties. Even not by my will, but thine, be done. I love this movie, with it's lessons of choice and compassion, it is truly a great movie.

Great story. Average acting. Sub par execution. Net effect: probably should be a book, not the almost-good movie it almost is.
