Don't expect a factual account of the discovery of King Tut's Tomb. This film dredged up almost every myth written about Carter, Carnarvon and the Curse. There are many historical inaccuracies in this film, some specifically written to forward the plot. Then add Raymond Burr in bad Arab makeup to give you a good taste of racism and film maker whitewashing. And it wasn't just Burr, several extras for the scenes shot in California are clearly whites playing Egyptian roles. The film starts out interestingly enough, of course we get the quote of the curse which was a pure fabrication to entertain the newspapers but then it descends into ridiculous plots. Watch it as entertainment and for the video of the sites in Egypt, some of which have changed a great dealv since then.
