Sun-Hee (Jung-Ah Yum) is a mother of two children. She has worked as a contract worker for a large discount store for the past five years. Sun-Hee has been promised numerous times that she would eventually be promoted to a regular full-time employee. Hye-Mi (Jeong-Hee Moon) is a single mother and works with Sun-Hee as a contract worker. Soon-Rye (Young-Ae Kim) works as a janitor at the same discount store and is also a contract worker.One day, the contract workers learn that they will be dismissed. The workers are panic, but Hye-Mi and Soon-Rye suggests that they form a union to fight for their rights. Sun-Hee is nominated by Hye-Mi and Soon-Rye to represent the contract workers. A struggle between the contract workers and management takes place.
