A moral panic drives Jane and her friends to create their own narrative and name. The Pink Ladies girl gang is officially formed.

The school election approaches and both sides re-examine what they stand for. New girl Hazel starts her first day at Rydell and tries to stay impartial and invisible.

The administration is determined to squash the brewing teenage rebellion at Rydell. A scandal galvanises Olivia to take action, but causes Jane to consider giving up. Nancy makes an unlikely transformation into a Rydell celebrity.

On Halloween, a last-minute move by Buddy and the Socs threatens to blow up Jane's campaign, and romance proves to be tricky for the Pink Ladies.

With the election results in, Cynthia questions whether the Pink Ladies will ever be the same. Susan, queen of the Socs, might be living proof that things, are not always the way they seem.
