Beautiful and gothic but in need of a good edit. The second half is meandering and looses the more sumptuous fantasy feel of the beginning. CGI did not hold up but it wasn’t used enough to be distracting. A weird mix of kung fu, renaissance festival, and The Company of Wolves

wow does this movie ever end? agree, the plot is really stretched out that you forget the purpose of all the characters. feels like there's a big mystery reveal and then it's like ok.

I watched this as a kid and enjoyed it so I rewatched it when I saw it on here and it doesn’t hold up. The movie doesn’t know what tone it’s going for, the pacing is slow and boring and the CGI is very dated. The redeeming quality of this film is the action sequences which are very well choreographed and performed especially by Mark Dacascos.
