This is why I will never work in a morgue or with the coroner's lol. Excellent movie, definite creepy factor.

3.5 Skulls. Effectively suspenseful, even if it falls on old tropes like a "happy" song in a creepy context, jump scares, and a cliche final sting. I liked the claustrophobic feel of it.

I finally got to watch “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” while watching the latest episode of “The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs” on Shudder, and it was fantastic! I regret not watching it sooner. It’s quite the claustrophobic horror movie with a solid story, gore, and a few jump scares. It was even better watching it with Joe and Darcy during the breaks. I also enjoyed the deep insight into how the movie came to fruition, as well as fun facts about the film, due to the special guests Joe had with the writers and a producer from the movie. I’m starting to think maybe it was good that I haven’t seen it yet since watching it on this show made it a much better movie experience. The only thing I wish there were more of was a better backstory on Jane Doe to explain everything. That would have been the icing on the cake, but it’s worth watching, especially if you can catch it through the Last Drive-In. I give “The Autopsy of Jane Doe” a 4/5 as it has everything you look for in a horror movie and then some. It’s a refreshing take on one of the biggest horror genres with an original story, good plot twists, and a good ending for the most part. It would have been perfect if this had a flashback or a post-credits scene explaining more of Jane Doe. It’s still worth watching as a horror movie or for the best experience through this Season 6 episode featured on “The Last Drive-in with Joe Bob Briggs” with the special guests who were instrumental to the movie.
