Eddie Murphy is on gut-busting form as Sherman Klump, a shy, obese college professor who concocts a potion that transforms him into a smooth-talking ladies' man. Unfortunately, his rude, crude alter-ego 'Buddy Love' is determined to shove the loveable Sherman aside to become the dominant personality. Jada Pinkett (pre-Smith) plays the apple of Sherman's pie as Murphy has a ball with his multiple roles, including all the grown-up members of Sherman's extended Klump clan. A boisterous remake of Jerry Lewis's 1963 comedy classic.
