Manny Singer (Liotta) hires African American Corrina Washington (Goldberg) to work as maid and nanny after the death of his wife. As the talented and intelligent Corrina helps Singer's daughter (Tina Majorino – “Napoleon Dynamite,” “When a Man Loves a Woman”) cope with the loss of her mother--and Singer discovers Corrina's intelligence--a relationship develops between them, growing from respect, to affection... to love.
