As a 70-mile-wide asteroid nears Earth, Dodge (Steve Carell, "The Office"), a soft spoken insurance salesman finds himself alone after his wife leaves in a panic. He decides to take a road trip to reunite with his high school sweetheart. Accompanying him is Penny (Keira Knightley, A Dangerous Method), his extroverted neighbour who inadvertently puts a wrench in his plan.
