Lithuania’s Ignas Jonynas plots a darkly comic psychological thriller with the nearly-surreal The Gambler. A feature debut, it stars Vytautas Kaniusonis and Oona Mekas (yes, daughter of Jonas!) as two paramedics of particularly dubious morality, betting on the fate of their patients.
