About this movie

Barack Obama launched into our national consciousness at the 2004 Democratic National Convention and ever since, he's delivered messages of patriotism, unity, and hope through the power of words. But of all the speeches he's given, six in particular may ultimately define him as one of the greatest writers and orators the White House has ever known. Interviews with eminent historians and accounts from key figures in his writing process provide rare insights into these iconic speeches, as well as the Obama presidency and the man himself.

This documentary is powerful and moving. President Obama is a great orator and even more, he cared. This documentary captures the power of his words in some of the best and worst times of his presidency - of our nation. His presidency started the exposure of some deep-rooted ills that still remain in this country. We have come a long way but we have a long way to go. This is a great nation but there is definitely room for improvement. 🙏🏾

In the morning, I watched current president give interview to Axios. In the evening, I watched this program. "The Power of Words" vividly shows what we lost.
