About this movie

Meet the Park family, the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki Woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide "indispensable" luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims' newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks. By turns darkly hilarious and heartwrenching, Parasite showcases a modern master at the top of his game.

Why is everyone in this movie a psychopath with no empathy? Their actions make little to no sense. It's like they're genius level IQ immediately goes to 0 whever they try to make a decision affecting plot. Characters are inconsistent in their actions at best. It's a bad interpretation of how poor people act and live. It seems like this movie must have been made by some trust-fund kid who's never seen a poor person, but instead gone through their house on some sort of a tourist attraction.

Really great film. Acting, cinematography is super amazing but my issue with it is that the family of the lower class were being shown to be rather evil. I didn't feel sorry for them that much because the whole idea of the family scamming was way too dramatic. Would of been better if they worked for that family without the lies and then have some other form of conflict to show what the struggle is like for lower class people.

Painful movie that makes you experience every nasty situation in our world today. Some scenes were very painful to watch and some were just there to give us hope. Great cast I've never heard off and a great directing. Worth the watch with lots of life lessons.
