While 'The Witch's Ghost' is a Scooby Doo movie darling and was clearly a big inspiration for the fantastic 'Mystery Incorporated' series, I think it's just ok. Everything kind of plays out like you'd think, but just like 'Zombie Island' film the monsters end up being "real". Also, while I like Tim Curry, I think his voice acting here is kind of too over-the-top and a little distracting. We'd find ourselves quoting whatever overly embellished words he'd say; they were that ridiculous.

I grew up on the original and then the "newer" Scooby Doo that came out in the 70's (52 here). When I saw Zombie Island in Avon, I had to get it so I could watch it with my kids and I wasn't disappointed--it was a darling new direction to take the gang. Then I found this particular movie. Jinkies! Hex Girls AND Tim Curry?!!! Yes, the movie is very obvious as a plotline if you are a Tim Curry fan like I am--he delights in that particular kind of role after all. Toxic Love anyone? I had to get it when I saw Google Play had the series so I can have it on my cell phone for anytime I need a bit of Ben Ravencroft in my life. :) Or the Hex Girls. I really want a full single YT release of their songs.

If watching Scooby Doo as a kid taught me anything, it's that All the real monsters in the World...are really People. If that's not deep then I don't know what is..
