The Dark and the Wicked

The movie had some genuine moments of unsettling creepiness that I loved. Unfortunately, the movie had too many scares basically making it not scary. Creepiness from dread and despair only works through build up. This movie could have been great if it would have left you wondering more about the evil priest and the unknown of what is trying to get inside. The choice to make the evil right in the people's faces all the time took the scariness out of it. Worth a rent at a lower price like $3.

The tone is creepy. It's jump scare after jump scare. It's one of those movies where you have to make up your own story because they don't explain much or give you insight on to why things are happening. The elements were there but it just didn't work for me.

Personally I loved the movie! The suspend fulness of the movie was amazing. It takes a lot for me to enjoy horror movie but this definitely ha more than a couple moments that had my heart going and made me jump lol......only reason for getting 4 stars is it would have bee nice to know what the evil thing was ad whyit was going after them and they leave you hanging at the end with quite a few questions which I didn't like to much ....
