Flowers in the Attic

Its not like the book. The physical depiction of the characters was spot on i think. Rhe dialog was similar to book, but this cersion didnt show the emotion of the book. Both versions are disturbing. This movie was too mild. Not showing the hatred, hurt pain or sickness. The lifetime version did a better job of that. The acting is better here, but if your looking for the book to come alive this isn't the one, but it was nice to know both versions if your a dollanganger series fan.

If you haven't read the book you may be able to enjoy this movie, beside the terrible acting, but if you have, your chances of liking this movie are very slim. It's an old movie and compressing everything from the book is impossible, but dang. The ending was so weird but I guess that compliments how weird this movie is. Don't watch this thinking its a horror film, its more of something to laugh at.

If I could give zero stars I would. This movie was horribly acted. If I had seen the movie before reading the book, I'd have never touched it. So disappointing. But the books....the series....love those!
