4 Stars, let me defend this film & hopefully this franchise future: 1. Cinematography, cool enjoyable action film. Not a cheap one. About the shaky footage on early action scene, maybe they try to use the technique from Jason Bourne movie? Still tolerable. Beautiful photography and property. 2. Story line, this a hard one. I suggest you have to watch the Toys That Made Us Documenter on Netflix, explaining how great G.I Joe franchise is. Now, Hasbro or the studio, really put HUGE BET on bending the Snake Eyes Origins in the comics. An American war veteran, blonde with blue eyes, accidently disrupt his face and vocal cord. Loyal fans from the golden era of comic books and animated series will find a hard time to enjoy this movie, and maybe distrust future sequel/universe. 3. Finish before you conclude! Best for us to wait for Sequel to really put a conclusion. This franchise attempt to reboot the action film, there must be a real storm between stakeholder, about BENDING the Snake Eyes origin story, changing the actor to Asian, make a Snake Eyes movie with Snake Eyes unmasked most of the time. Yet, they do it anyway! Either they really try to make the story more relatable in the present (In Original Comic, is Vietnam War period, which too old for present kids), or they flop, big time. 4. Why Storm Shadow is more likable in this movie? I hope the director really can pull a sequel, like Naruto & Sasuke character arc 5. If the second sequel, can delivered like GI Joe Silent Interlude comic books, no live dialogue, just video. I think it will be a break through not just for the franchise, but in film making, a true work of art. Please support this reboot initiative, so the sequel and the franchise can roll over a great period.

Anyone who is remotely familiar with GI Joe in general will be throughly confused and disapointed. This is just another example of an amazing character getting ripped apart and made pathetically weak and helpless. I went in to this thinking what most of us did. That Snake eyes is going to be an action packed melee with snake eyes just rolling through everything in his path. Instead they made him a pathetic wimp who needs the support of several random characters who are showing him up constantly.

Another propaganda b.s. but 90 % of people never get it. They also swallowed all the complete character and origin changes (literal destructions) of marvel superheroes and the creation of the new fake propagandist marvel universe. No wonder - even if this movie bombed - there are still enough mass media sheep who think this fake GI Joe is tolerable.
