I bought the DVD when it first came out and watched it as much as it lasted. After awhile I could play it loud and do my Artwork and more. It is the best documentry and well worth the money. What's really wild is Val K. even looks like , sounds like and potrayed James D. Morrison. Pam, played by the beautiful Meg Ryan played the part perfectly. I'm so glad I saw him live in concert. I was so under~age back then, but I didn't care.

I love this movie. Have since it came out. I love the Doors. There are a lot of accuracies and Val played an incredible Jim. There are some inaccuracies though. Jim did finish film school, and they made him out to be totally blasted all the time. Which isn't true. He was a lot! For sure! All though it's not meant to be a documentary. And of course they had to keep it entertaining! One of my all time favorite movies!

All the dazed slow dialogue gets almost unbearably boring after the first 40 minutes. Val Kilmer's acting was good even though it was limited. Did Jim really only have one mood, one expression, because Val only had one in this whole boring movie.
