About this movie

Eddie Albert is the sadistic warden who'll gladly make any sacrifice to push his guards' semi-pro football team to a national championship. Reynolds plays one time pro quarterback Paul Crewe, now behind bars for leading State Police on a wild chase in a "borrowed" car. He agrees to organise a prisoners' team to play the guards.

My grandfather, john steadman, played, pop steadman, in this film. I do remember well, when the film was being made. My grandfather spoke very highly of mr. Reynolds and mr. Albert. Mr. Reynolds even gave my grandmother a dozrn american red roses during the filming. I still have the photo that was taken after she received the flowers. Mr . Reynolds, thanks so much for being so kind to juanita and john. They really did love you. Robyn Freeman, their granddaughter

I love this version way better than the PG-13 remake. That's why I enjoy hearing the most famous words of Richard Kiel(RIP) namely `Hey. I think I broke his fuckin neck'.
