About this movie

This thrilling feature-length movie based on Kunihiko Ikuhara's (TV'S SAILOR MOON) fan favorite series is a fun re-telling of this popular fantasy high school soap opera. Utena Tenjou arrives at Ohtori Academy only to be swept up in a series of duels for the hand of her classmate. At the same time, Utena reunites with Touga Kiryuu, a friend from her childhood who seems to know the secrets behind the duels. Utena must discover those secrets for herself, before the power that rules Ohtori claims her and her friends.

One of the best Anime films ever made. It, surprisingly, makes more sense than the series if you ask me, but it definitely is an acquired taste. Not everyone will get it, but it is a rich plot about empowerment and the soundtrack is amazing. If you bring into context the story of the series, this is a fairytale gone wrong about growing up in a rough world and trying to break free from it. Definitely worth the watch!

I loved this show, but the horrible english voice acting kills it. If i could get the subtitled i would buy it.
