While hunting down bootleg kung-fu DVDs in a Chinatown pawnshop, Jason Tripitikas makes an extraordinary discovery that sends him hurtling back in time to ancient China. There, Jason is charged with a monumental task: he must free the fabled warrior the Monkey King, who has been imprisoned by the powerful Jade War Lord. Jason is joined in his quest by wise kung fu master Lu Yan and a band of misfit warriors including Silent Monk. Thought this might be a shameless cash-in on Jet Li's and Jackie Chan's names but it was pretty good. The long awaited J&J fight scene only disappointed in that there weren't more such scenes.

If you're into kung fu, action, fantasy, comic book, story telling, then this is the one for you. Never heard about it on at movies but got on DVD a year or 2 ago. Loved it.

Fantastic movie that looks great but also has a lot of heart. Li, in particular, and Chan both excel. Can't rate this highly enough.
